The moon hangs low
Glowing softly
Along your half open
window
I’m sure it lingers
In the night sky
To steal furtive
glances
At you
While you smile at
your dreams
On the pretext of
saying goodbye
It brought along
An army of fireflies
Sparkling so bright
Did we call them
stars?
But they are just
minions
With Luciferous bums
that ignite
So it can watch you
Burrowing into your
pillows
By their deep
cerulean light
The moon is an
enticing wolf
A fly by night lover
Draw your curtains
and hide
And wait for me
As I follow you
Into your world of
fantasy
We’ll meet at the
edge
Of the breathless
dawn
Where real stars
swoon
At our rapturous
dance
Enticed by this
gorgeous sight…
The tropical summer
night
And my very
beautiful sprite
