MIDSUMMER MADNESS

All I need to do
Is to close my eyes
And be still
And I can feel the wet breath
Of the morning mist
Trailing...
Across my eyelids
Along my cheeks
Slithering down my curves
Undulating
In lazy streaks
Uncontrollable flutters
In my trembling heart
Unrest
Meandering like lightning
Up, and down, and around
Each nook and corner
I never knew I possessed
Oh! The kiss of the morning mist
Warm and cool and wet and light
Shedding droplets on steaming skin
I struggle....but I can't move
Not even a little bit
For it scares easily....and vanishes
Akin a wisp
So I lie...succumbed to its wiles
As it wanders around me
At will
The long cherished, forbidden wish...
Of ice cubes, on heated lips
